KamCon 2019

It’s all fun and games till someone loses an eye. Then, it’s just a game: Find the eye

In an ideal world, we would be sitting in our living room themed booth at KamCon 2019, playing games on a custom gaming table, while chatting about how 3d printing is going to change the world. We would have braved the Coquihalla in a Uhaul to spend the weekend among fellow gamers talking about ways technology is revolutionizing the pastime we all love.

Instead, we learned such lessons as: when the instructions say “be careful, the stepper motors are powerful enough to eat the machine”, they aren’t kidding. I truly wish the cameras had been running for that one. Other lessons included: hot ends are hot, grinding a nozzle across a printing plate is bad for both the plate and the nozzle, and – my favorite – it is possible for all the vendors on Amazon to sell out of white PLA at the same time.

I’d go on, but it starts to get a bit gross after IV antibiotics enter the equation.

We would love to be there in person to show you how to put together the catapults we printed, to learn from you the best way to paint the owl bears and the hell skulls, and to see the d20 holders in use during the convention!

Instead, you have this web page.

Here is what we have sent up to the KamCon team. If something catches your eye but you couldn’t get your hands on it, let us know, and we’ll see what we can do.

If you are wondering who we are, we have a page for that.
